Beach Favourites!

Thursday, September 26, 2013

After hanging out in the sun and surf for the past couple of weeks now, I thought it would be time to compile a look book full of my favourites and must haves for summer! An up coming trend for swimwear in oz is the 50's style flashback mixed in with some awesome floral prints. 70's flare leopard print is back and is going to look hot on the beach! Earthy tones combined with a pop of bright colour will have you set for the summer ahead.
Don't forget to fake tan before heading out and to always apply plenty of sunscreen! St Tropez is the holy grail of tanning brands and will keep your skin golden and glowing without the harmful UV rays.
So put on a big floppy hat, with a matching bag of course, and head off for some fun and unforgettable times with the sun, sand and surf!

Hand Bags, Fashion and Art!

Wednesday, July 31, 2013

One of the best things about studying fashion design is being constantly surrounded by vibrant and inspiring artwork created by your fellow teachers and students!
There is always a spring of excitement throughout the hallways of a fashion college, whether it's the quirky design students buzzing around in their stylish ensembles or the layers of garments and accessories being crammed together on racks.
The copious amounts of colours inside the classrooms create interesting visuals and textures for the wandering eye to look at, as well at to remind you how many talented minds are in your presence every day!

HERE, KITTY KITTY

Thursday, October 14, 2010

Following the throwback to 1950s housewife glamour from Marc Jacobs' Louis Vuitton collection and Prada, it is most certain that the ladylike look is back and here to stay. Maybe Mrs. Cleaver and our beloved Lucy Ricardo had it right all along. What's sexier than a cinched waist, a perfectly pinned-up boufant, a pair of red lips, and some kitten-heeled pumps? All the above, MINUS kitten heels.

I'm going to say this now (and not make a retraction about this statement later) that KITTEN HEELS are not the cat's meow. No other shoe can be more unflattering. Flats or high heels -- pick a side and stay there. While reading through the latest Harper's Bazaar, I stumbled across an article entitled "The Return of Kitten Heels" by Anamaria Wilson. Here, she promptly states that she is very petite and lives in her high heels. But, in the name of some serious investigative journalism, she decides to take on the new mini-heel trend by walking the streets of NYC; what a brave, brave girl.

Even after stepping out in a pair of Giambattista's and McCartney's, Wilson said "with the kittens, I looked like a banker or a hostess or a secretary. In other words: boring." Read the rest of her shoe-capades and find that she actually gives in and says she fell in love with some classic Louboutins. I bet you anything that was the last time she ever wore kitten heels.

Anna dello Russo may love them. Anna Wintour may walk to every fashion show in them. But this Anna will have to say, pass the five-inch wedge.

BANG MARC JACOBS

Friday, May 21, 2010

BANG: the newest fragrance by sir marc jacobs. but this time its for the boys. and for the FIRST time ever, Mj will be facing his own product. it's about damn time this beautiful man strips down. hmm..i wonder what this will smell like. perhaps sandalwood, gardenias, and a dash of narcissism??

from WWD, in an exclusive interview w MJ, marc said: "Posing nude was business partner Robert Duffy’s idea, said Jacobs on Thursday in an exclusive interview. “Robert and I work closely with Coty on these projects, and he said, ‘Marc, you look so great now — you should be the model for men’s fragrance.’ My immediate reaction was, I don’t know. But then I came to see that it made sense. Men’s fragrance, unlike women’s in a certain way, is very personal. It’s a layer on top of skin — for women, it can be like changing a makeup color, but not for men."
